Mission

Duty Above Desire (D-A-D) began as a faith-based blog about life through the lens of a young father. Early on, it became evident that the central question, “What does Duty Above Desire mean to you?” not only challenged, Timehin, the founder, but has also challenged many fathers who have connected with the brand to seek purpose and live with intention.

Our mission is to inspire fathers to anchor their identity in their divine calling above personal pursuits. The result of this will transform fathers and families. Duty Above Desire aims to share this mission with others and build a community that supports it.

We do this in a few ways:

• We partner with organizations, that encourage, affirm, and strengthen a father’s divine identity and provide tools and opportunities for them to live out a life of Duty Above Desire.

• We share faith based reflections about life through the lens of fatherhood that help our community learn about the daily practicalities of Duty Above Desire

• We sell merch that looks good and feels good, but more importantly serves as a daily reminder to stop and ask oneself, “What does Duty Above Desire look like for me today?”

• In the future we plan to organize Duty Above Desire events that cater to families, encourage and teach men and build community.‍ ‍
